Campus France Visa Process


Campus France, is the official arm of the French Embassy in India. Campus France conducts pre consular visa process for all students going to study in France, especially for the long stay visa ie. undergraduate, post graduate, PhD programs.

Here is the step by step guide for Campus France visa process (as of March 2023)


Campus France + VFS Process (Student visa France)


STEP 1 – Online Registration

  1. Create your Campus France Account on “Etudes en France” - https://pastel.diplomatie.gouv.fr/etudesenfrance/dyn/public/login.html?ecf=IN&locale=en_IN

  2. Fill up the online CampusFrance form. Based on your situation, click on ‘Start application for Student Visa at Campus France (Mandatory pre-consular process)’ to submit a visa file for an acceptance you have directly received from a French Institution.

  3. Once you have completed the online form and uploaded all the required documents, you will receive your unique Campus France Registration Number

  4. Once you have submitted your file, it will be verified and validated by CF team post which a payment link will be sent to you for the payment of the EEF processing fee: INR 18000. https://payment.ifindia.in/

  5. Once the payment has been processed, your Campus France Manager will schedule the academic interview with you.

STEP 2 – Appointment with the Campus France Manager


For the academic interview, you are required to carry the following documents (originals version)

· 12th mark sheet and passing certificate

· Bachelor degree and mark sheets (if applicable). If you do not have your degree yet please get a bonafide letter from your university.

· Master degree and mark sheets (if applicable). If you do not have your degree yet please get a bonafide letter from your university.

· Work Experience Letters or Internships (if applicable)

· Passport (valid passport)

· Admission letter from the French institute/university


STEP 3 – Appointment with the VFS-France (This step can only be taken only once an automated no-reply email is sent to you stating that your file has been validated and that you may now proceed to the VFS. If not found in your inbox please do check out the spam box as well.)

After the academic interview with the CampusFrance advisor you need to schedule an appointment with VFS-France

To schedule an appointment online and to fill up the visa form please refer https://france-visas.gouv.fr/

At the VFS you need to deposit your documents and pay your Visa Fee and VFS Charges (50 euros + VFS charges). No Visa interview will be done. PFA the VFS Checklist.
