The TOEFL test is recognized by more than 11,000 universities in over 150 countries worldwide including USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and across Europe and Asia. What is TOEFL? The TOEFL iBT test is the world's most accepted English-language test for study, work and immigration.It is a multiple-choice examination unlike the IELTS. It is preferred by more universities and institutions, so you can be confident you'll stand out to admissions officers where it counts. When is the right time to take the TOEFL? The TOEFL test is administered up to 6 days a week around the world at authorized test centers or at home, giving you plenty of options. Timing is important though, as appointments can fill up quickly! We suggest you to give the examination 5-6 months prior to your admission and submission date so that even if you do not fare well in your first attempt, you have ample time to take it again!There is no limit to the number of times you can take the TOEFL! This is the exact problem that the IELTS exam seeks to resolve. The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to help you work, study or migrate to a country where English is the native language. This includes countries such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and USA. What is IELTS? An examination that is designed to test your skills in the English language and ensure that your stay and education in the country you seek to study in will be smooth and fruitful for you. It tests your ability to read, write, speak and listen in English. When can you take the IELTS? With a very flexible calendar, the IELTS exam can be taken anytime the candidate feels they are prepared to take the exam. We would recommend giving the IELTS test at least 7–12 months before the start date of your course/job abroad. This is because if you don’t score well in your first attempt, then you will have ample time to prepare for your second attempt without wasting any time. The IELTS score card is valid for two years. How to take the IELTS? You can register for the examination from the official website of the IELTS IDP India - You may either book your IELTS test online or visit your nearest IDP branch to book it offline. The SATs are the most widely acceptable standardized entrance examinations used by Universities to assess the knowledge capacity of a student and their ability to implement it. What is SAT? SAT is a globally recognized entrance test for students seeking entry to Universities at the Graduation level. Almost all universities in the United States and some in other countries accept the SATs and evaluate you on the basis of your score. When is the right time to take the SAT? The SATs take place 6 times in a calendar year in India (in the months of January, May, June, October, November and December). Test dates are released well in advance by the College Board and can be viewed on the website. Students can take up to three Subject Tests on one testing date. However, students cannot take the SAT and the SAT Subject Test on the same day. How to take the SAT? After ascertaining the dates, you must make an account on their official website. After creating your profile, provide your personal details - Create your student profile. Give your high school details. Give your academic details. Details related to extracurricular activities. College-level details: College type, college size, majors. After you enter these details, select your preferred exam date and exam center after which the payment option for the SAT exam will pop-up! ETS, the administration that hosts the GRE, allows you to take the GRE once every 21 days and up to 5 times within any continuous period of 12 months (365 continuous days). Follow the directions to continue your registration and pay for your test. Once your registration has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email from ETS confirming your test choice, test date, test center or link to launch your at home test, and score recipients. Each section has been allotted 60 minutes making the paper a total of 3 hours. Analytical writing includes 2 sectors i.e. Issue task & Argument task. The AWA score is given from 1-6 as an average of both these sectors. Verbal reasoning analyzes and evaluates the written material, recognizes the relationship between components, words and concepts. This section is subdivided into Reading Comprehension, Text completion and Sentence Equivalence. Quantitative Reasoning is a section purely mathematical in nature. This section tests the ability of the candidate in the following areas - Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry and Data analysis.
